IMMERSIVE PX | PRODUCT CAPABILITY FOR PEOPLE TEAMS
Build your team’s confidence and capability to apply product thinking to real People work.
Through immersive, hands-on experiences designed around your organisation, your team will learn to define better problems, uncover real needs and test ideas before jumping to solutions.
THE CHALLENGE
Your team knows there’s a better way to work. But knowing the principles and putting them into practice are two very different things.
Maybe your team has already explored product thinking, design thinking or human-centred design. They understand the ideas:
Get closer to users.
Start with the problem.
Test before you build.
Measure what matters.
Design for adoption.
But when they’re back in the reality of People work, familiar patterns take over.
Stakeholder requests become solutions. Priorities compete for attention. Teams default to established processes, expert opinions and reactive delivery.
The gap isn’t necessarily knowledge. It’s the collective capability and confidence to work differently.
Immersive PX helps teams build that capability through practical, shared experiences grounded in the challenges their organisation is facing.
The Real Questions to Answer
Immersive PX helps your team develop the skills and confidence to answer these questions through practice, not theory.
IMMERSIVE OUTCOMES
This isn’t about introducing your team to another set of concepts. It’s about building the shared capability and confidence to put product practices into action.
After Immersive PX, your team will be better equipped to:
Prioritise
Move beyond requests and assumed solutions to frame the real problems preventing progress for employees and the business.
Understand
Get closer to users, observe behaviour and gather evidence to understand what is actually happening, rather than validating existing assumptions.
Insight
Make sense of qualitative evidence, identify patterns and needs, and use what you learn to sharpen the problem definition.
Ideate
Explore multiple possibilities, challenge assumptions and identify promising ideas before committing to a solution.
Test
Turn ideas into simple, tangible prototypes that can be tested with users, generating early evidence before significant investment.
Action
Take shared methods and practical experience back into the day-to-day work of your team and apply them to meaningful People challenges.
THE EXPERIENCE
Your team won’t spend hours listening to presentations about product thinking. They’ll learn by doing, working together on meaningful People challenges.
Wherever possible, we use real, low-risk problems your organisation is already working on as the foundation for learning. Where that isn’t appropriate, we create realistic scenarios tailored to your team’s context.
Together, your team will practise moving from ambiguity to evidence, insight and prototype, using practical product methods along the way.
Learning is great. Application in context is better.
Every experience is designed around your team’s context, challenges and the capabilities you want to build.
WHAT YOUR TEAM WILL PRACTICE
Every experience is designed around your team, with three core product capabilities at its heart.
CAPABILITY ONE – PROBLEM DEFINITION
Understand the problem before
designing the solution.
People work often starts with a request.
“Can you just…”
“We need to…”
“I want to…”
But requests often arrive with solutions already attached, before anyone has understood the real problem.
Your team will practise moving from a broad challenge or assumption towards a clearer, evidence-informed problem definition.
They’ll explore the people involved, the progress those people are trying to make, the business outcomes connected to the work and the assumptions worth testing.
CAPABILITY TWO – DISCOVERY
Uncover what’s really going on.
Discovery helps teams move beyond stakeholder opinions, inherited assumptions and surface-level feedback.
Your team will practise talking to people, observing behaviour, gathering evidence and uncovering the needs behind what people say they want.
They’ll learn how to identify patterns and tensions in qualitative research, and use those insights to sharpen their understanding of the problem.
CAPABILITY THREE – PROTOTYPING
Test the idea before investing in the solution.
People teams often commit significant time, money and energy to solutions before they’ve learned enough.
Your team will practise turning hypotheses into simple, low-fidelity prototypes that can be tested with users.
They’ll explore how to make ideas tangible, gather feedback and improve their thinking before committing to full delivery.
BUILT AROUND YOUR TEAM
No two People teams face exactly the same challenges, so why should their learning experiences look identical?
We design each Immersive PX engagement around your team’s starting point, organisational context and the product capabilities you want to develop.
The foundations stay consistent. The experience is built around you.
01 / CONTEXT
REAL WORK. REAL IMAPCT.
Wherever possible, your team will practise using live, low-risk People challenges already in play within your organisation.
Where that isn’t appropriate, we’ll develop realistic scenarios grounded in your organisational context.
02 / EXPERIENCE
DESIGNED TO FIT YOUR TEAM.
From immersive in-person sessions to virtual workshops or a series of facilitated experiences, we’ll shape the learning around your team’s needs, availability and objectives.
Products are a response to a real need. Learning should be too.
03 / EXPERTISE
THE RIGHT MINDS IN THE ROOM.
We draw on complementary expertise in People Experience, Product and Design, bringing the right combination of perspectives, methods and facilitation to support your team’s specific learning outcomes.

LEARNING IN ACTION
Real people. Practical challenges. Shared discovery, experimentation and a few unexpected moments along the way.
Immersive PX completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve come away with fresh ideas, practical frameworks, new perspectives and actionable insights. Most importantly, the confidence to apply all of this in a meaningful way within my work.
Pauline Taylor
VP of People @ HowNow
I loved every minute of Immersive PX. The content was immediately applicable; I went back to work and started implementing right away. We’re empathy mapping as I write this. And did I mention it was such a joy to be in a room full of people who treat work as a product?
Marina Horner
PX Product Manager @ RetailNext
The experience forced me to examine what HR’s role actually is in a fast-growing company, something I hadn’t questioned traditionally. Immersive PX confronted us with a business problem and asked us to think like operators, not HR practitioners applying standard playbook. That’s uncomfortable. It’s also the work we’re supposed to be doing but rarely do.
Charlotte Adams
Chief People Officer @ Ofelia
Immersive PX fostered a real feeling of community and connection amongst People leaders on the frontier of applying product management principles to our work. Plus, you’ll walk away with actionable frameworks and notes you can apply the first day you’re back in office.

COMMON QUESTIONS
No. Immersive PX can support teams with little or no product experience, as well as those already familiar with product thinking but looking to strengthen their practical application. We’ll tailor the experience to your team’s starting point and capability needs.
We start by understanding your team’s challenges, current capabilities and desired outcomes. From there, we’ll design an immersive learning experience around your organisational context, using the right combination of practical activities, methods and facilitation expertise.
Absolutely. In fact, that’s our preference. We find that learning is most valuable when teams can apply new practices to real, low-risk People challenges already in play. Where that’s not appropriate, we can create realistic scenarios tailored to your organisation.
Both. We can design in-person immersive experiences, virtual workshops or learning delivered across multiple sessions. We’ll recommend the right approach based on your team’s location, availability and learning objectives.
Every engagement is designed around your organisation’s needs, so pricing depends on the scope, format, team size and level of support required. We’ll explore these considerations during discovery and provide a tailored proposal.
